High-order semi-Lagrangian kinetic scheme for compressible turbulence

Abstract: Turbulent compressible flows are traditionally simulated using explicit Eulerian time integration applied to the Navier-Stokes equations. However, the associated Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy condition severely restricts the maximum time step size.
