High-Performance Zwitterionic Nanofiltration Membranes Fabricated via Microwave-Assisted Grafting of Betaine

Abstract: The thin-film composite (TFC) nanofiltration (NF) membrane is a very important method in solving the water crisis. However, the fabrication and industrialization of high-performance NF membranes still remains challenging. In this work, zwitterionic NF membranes via microwave-assisted grafting of betaine was first proposed. The resulting polyamide layer showed leaflike nanostructures after modification. Because of the enlarged permeation area and enhanced hydrophilicity derived from the unique leaflike structur… Show more

“…[ 31–40 ] The optical absorbance of MNPs also endows them with exogenous activation for combined chemo‐PTT. [ 41,42 ] Although these MNPs show high anti‐tumor activity, [ 43,44 ] the light response of these MNPs is mainly concentrated in the NIR‐I region, limiting their therapeutic efficacy in the longer wavelength region. Therefore, it is of great scientific significance to explore a new magnetite nanostructure with NIR‐II activation for imaging‐guided combined cancer therapy.…”

“…Additionally, a burst release of DOX occurred once the BS/Au@PP‐DOX was stimulated by the NIR laser. It is basically ascribed to the increasing temperature induced by photothermal capacity of BS/Au under NIR irradiation, which could enhance thermal vibration and weaken the interaction between DOX and nanoparticle carrier [ 40 ] further the PTT could improve the chemotherapy effect.…”
