Abstract:The front cover artwork is provided by David Antonelli′s materials chemistry group at the University of South Wales. The image shows the binding of H2 via the Kubas interaction on amorphous vanadium hydride frameworks. The material stores 5.4 wt % H2 reversibly, and surprisingly the calorimetry measurements shown below the central image demonstrate that the overall process is thermodynamically neutral.
