“…Thus, we prepared solid laser samples in the form of disks, 25 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick, of materials PM567/ P(MMA:TFMA 70:30), PM567/P(MMA:TEGDMA 90:10), and PM567/P(MMA:PETA 95:5), which had worked reasonably well at low-repetition rate pumping, and pumped them longitudinally with the green line of a copper-vapor laser at an average power of up to 800 mW and repetition rate of up to 1 kHz. 62 Samples of Rh6G dissolved in copolymer P(HEMA:MMA 1:1) were also prepared to be used as reference. The highest efficiency (37%) was obtained when the dye was dissolved in P(MMA:PETA 95:5).…”

“…14 The life time was measured in terms of number of shots corresponding to decrease in the output energy to half of its initial value. The lifetimes of 2.9, 5.5 and 6.3 million shots were obtained with different wave guides doped with rhodamine590, rhodamine640 and LDS798, and with the pumping energies of 1.3, 3 lifetime of 1.5 million shots. Since the pumping repetition was 100 pps, 5 million shots correspond to a life of about 14 hour, which should be sufficient for any spectroscopic experiment.…”

“…Plastic dye laser have been studied by many research groups [1][2][3], and waveguided and=or a distributed feedback (DFB) solid-state dye lasers have also been studied [4][5][6][7][8] to simplify tunable laser systems and to decrease laser threshold energy.…”
