Abstract: In this paper, a high-sensitivity cross-axial extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometric (EFPI) acoustic sensor is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The cross-axial EFPI is constructed by optical fiber and cantilever's inner surface, assisted with an adjustable 45° mirror.
