Highly Efficient Amide Synthesis from Alcohols and Amines by Virtue of a Water‐Soluble Gold/DNA Catalyst

Abstract: Gold geht baden: Die direkte Amid‐Synthese aus Alkoholen und Aminen (auch schwach basischen aromatischen Aminen) gelingt mithilfe eines wasserlöslichen Au/DNA‐Nanohybrids. Wechselwirkungen zwischen den Goldnanopartikeln, der DNA und Wasser bewirken die hohe Effizienz dieses wiederverwendbaren Katalysators unter milden Reaktionsbedingungen.
