Highly Sensitive Carbon Based Sensing Utilizing Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles and Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes for Determination of Ticagrelor: Pharmacokinetics Application

Abstract: Sensitive, accurate and precise square-wave voltammetric method was developed and validated for determination of a new antiplatelet drug ticagrelor in drug substance using multi-walled carbon nanotubes titanium dioxide nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode (MWCNTs/TiNPs/CPE). The electrochemical behavior of ticagrelor showed irreversible adsorption-diffusion controlled process at potential of 0.97 V in Britton Robinson buffer (pH 2.0). Various experimental conditions were investigated and optimized inc… Show more

“…The elimination half-life (t 1/2 ) of TIC was from 4.83 to 4.94 h -1 . The time-concentration profile and pharmacokinetic parameters obtained by our method were consistent with those obtained from previously published studies [8,9,48]. This indicates that plasma pharmacokinetics of TIC did not differ between with and without The values between parentheses are the tabulated t and F values at p = 0.05 [47].…”

“…Techniques such as ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometry [6,7], voltammetry [8,9], spectrofluorometry [10], highperformance liquid chromatography (HPLC) [7,[11][12][13][14][15][16], HPLC-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) [17,18], and LCtandem MS (LC-MS-MS) [19][20][21][22] have been reported for the determination of TIC. Although these methods are promising and could easily obtain satisfactory repeatability and high sensitivity, most of them have been associated with several shortcomings, such as expensive equipment and the large amount of organic solvents consumed.…”

“…Where I C0 p is the C 0 peak current, [DFMO] is the concentration of DFMO, and R is the correlation coefficient. Statistical analysis [71,72] of the obtained data represented satisfied values of correlation coefficient (R 2 ) 0.9913 (Table S1). The calibration curve linearity is confirmed by these data and low scattering of the points near the calibration curve.…”

“…One square wave voltammetric method (Rizk et al, 2017) and two fluorimetric methods have been developed for the determination of TCG in biological samples. A fluorimetric method based on TCG natural fluorescence was used only for plasma analysis in rat (Elmansi et al, 2020), whereas fluorescence derivatization was applied to spiked human plasma (Önal & Kepekçi Tekkeli, 2020).…”
