Hilfreiche Blutsauger in der Medizin und ihre Systematik

Abstract: Noch vor wenigen Jahren wurden alle in Europa vorkommenden, blutsaugenden Kieferegel der Gattung Hirudo der ehemals häufigen Typus‐Art H. medicinalis zugeordnet. Heute wissen wir, dass drei geografisch getrennte Arten, der Europäische Medizinische Blutegel (H. medicinalis), der Mediterrane Bl. (H. verbana) und der Kaukasische Bl.
