Bahasa Sunda merupakan bahasa yang termasuk ke dalam rumpun bahasa Austronesia dan memiliki ciri sebagai bahas Austronesia yang melibatkan afiksasi dan membentuk komposisi dalam verba dan nomina. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembentukan tata nama tempat di kecamatan Cidaun berdasarkan bentuk, referen, serta bagaimana peran studi toponimi dengan kearifan lokal dalam ranah etnolinguistik. Penamaan tempat bagi orang Sunda memiliki latar belakang yang umumnya memiliki nilai historis, seperti pada nama sungai Cipangumbahan yang berarti ci ‘air’ dan ngumbah ‘mencuci’. Nama Cipangumbahan terdapat infiks -ng- yang menunjukkan kalimat aktif, sehingga bermakna ‘sungai tempat mencuci’ dan sufiks -an sebagai penanda tempat. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan melakukan observasi wilayah penelitian. Selanjutnya dilakukan metode penelitian dengan tahap pengumpulan data penelusuran sumber melalui teknik wawancara, pengoleksian data nama-nama kampung melalui penelusuran peta daring (https://geoservices.big.go.id/petarbi/, https://mapcarta.com/Map, dan https://gis.dukcapil.kemendagri. go.id/peta/), data administratif instansi pemerintahan, serta penelusuran lapangan dengan wawancara. Setelah data diperoleh, digunakan teknik analisis data dengan tahap penyeleksian data, pengklasifikasian dan penganalisisan data, dan penyimpulan hasil analisis. Toponimi tidak hanya mengenai studi tentang nama, namun membahas pula mengenai cara berpikir masyarakat dalam menamai sesuatu dan menjadi perwujudan pelestarian budaya lisan.Kata Kunci: toponimi; Cidaun; Jawa Barat; etnolinguistik; tata nama.

The riddle reflects ideological, religious, mythological and other ideas of people that form part of the folklore picture of the world, which is an important part of the conceptual picture of the ethnos (Chesnokova & Talavera, 2018;Chesnokova & Usmanov, 2022;Chesnokova et al, 2020;Emer, 2011;Khrolenko, 2010;Martynenko & Chesnokova, 2022;Selivanova, 2010). This paper is dedicated to the linguacultural, lexical and semantic analysis of Spanish, Mexican, and Colombian riddles about plants. The study of the linguistic worldview perception and its verbalization associated with flora representation in folklore texts is of particular interest. Phytonyms in riddles carry a great semantic load, help to better understand ethnic priorities. Of particular interest are riddles in which ethno-specific features of the Spanish, Mexican, and Colombian linguistic pictures of the world are manifested. Units of culture are revealed in the texts of riddles, firstly, because they contain linguistic elements that are peculiar only to a certain culture, and due to unique ethno-specific elements directly reflect the features of the corresponding linguistic culture. Secondly, in addition to such a direct reflection, cultural units can be transmitted indirectly in texts, through specific structures, which find their expression in the way of describing hidden phytonyms. The lexical and semantic analysis of riddles about the plant world makes it possible to reconstruct the folklore features of phytonyms and, based on the typology of these features, describe plants that are prototypical for linguistic personalities of different Spanish-speaking countries. The analysis of non-standard language explicants of plants allows not only to determine their most relevant features, but also to generalize the metaphorical or metonymic aspect of transfers.

The article is devoted to the study of the features of the metaphorization of toponyms in Russian and Arabic. During the study, more than 1350 articles using metaphorical toponyms were analyzed using the methods of comparative analysis, contextual analysis, descriptive analysis, and quantitative analysis. Studying the works of different researchers on toponyms proved that any toponym has some kind of cultural component, which contributes to the metaphorization of some toponyms. When metaphorizing toponyms turn into symbols. Russian and Arabic journalists metaphorize toponyms, since the metaphor not only expresses the attitude of the author, his assessment of this or that phenomenon of reality, but also influences the reader’s opinion. Toponymic metaphors evoke many additional associations and awaken the cultural memory of the addressee. Some toponyms are subject to deonymization, which is manifested in their writing with a lowercase letter and the use in the plural. According to our observations, the largest group of our material is represented by those toponyms that are associated with war events, which is a natural result of the relevance of the topic “War” in the life of any nation. The toponyms of our material are usually accompanied by territorial, temporal and so on characteristics.
