“…Cardiotoxicity of P. clarkii has been previously reported after mixture of bensulfuron-methyl and acetochlor, chlorpyrifos, and recombinant VP28 protein exposure [ 6 , 23 , 36 ], including the lesions of cardiac muscle fiber, epithelial hyperplasia, hemocytic infiltration, vacuolization, and myocardial edema. Except for myocardial edema, other symptoms were also detected in the present study.…”

“…In addition, the immunization dose of vaccine and the challenge dose of the virus have a crucial effect on the immune effect. However, since the specific immune dose or challenge dose is not well stated [14,25,55], or the unit of measurement is not consistent in many references [59,60], these factors were not taken into account in the current study. With more comprehensive statistical data, the study can further investigate in more details.…”

“…Immunohistochemistry analysis revealed that rVp28 produced by baculovirus expression vector (Bac-VP28) were able to maintain structural and antigenic conformity and using this baculovirus displaying VP28 as a vaccine against WSSV Musthaq et al (2009) demonstrated that WSSV viral load in vaccinated shrimp reduced significantly at 7days post challenge. Although rVP28 supplemented with lower dose reduced apoptotic cells in hepatopancreas, stomach and gut tissues with higher RPS value, there is a decrease in immunity towards WSSV attack at a higher dose with the increased cumulative mortality after WSSV challenge, suggests rVP28 based shrimp immunity is dose-dependent (Wei & Yang, 2011).…”
