Abstract:IntroductionTakotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC), also known as stress‐induced cardiomyopathy, resembles acute heart failure syndrome but lacks disease‐specific diagnosis and treatment strategies. TTC accounts for approximately 5–6% of all suspected cases of acute coronary syndrome in women. At present, animal models of TTC are often created by large amounts of exogenous catecholamines such as isoproterenol. However, isoproterenol injection cannot fully simulate the onset of stress‐induced cardiomyopathy in humans s… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
