Abstract:: Pulmonary vein isolation using radiofrequency energy is performed extensively to treat symptomatic, drug-refractory atrial brillation. However, anatomical knowledge of the left atrial wall surrounding the pulmonary vein PV openings is insuf cient to create an ablation line.
