Abstract: Microscopic pathology of duodenum in rats exposed to Fusarium graminearum, a fungus infecting small-grain cereals, was investigated. Intestinal haemorrhage was observed macroscopically in one of the rats. Light microscopy demonstrated detachments between the surface epithelium and the lamina propria and severe interstitial oedema in the lamina propria in the test group.
