Histopathological findings of an excised varicose vein complicated with chemical phlebitis

Abstract: Sclerotherapy aims to obliterate the varicose veins after injection of the sclerosing substance into vein lumen by causing stenosis, fibrosis and thrombosis through endothelial cell damage, spasm and inflammatory reaction mechanisms.
