Histopathological study of surgically resected specimens of fallopian tube

Abstract: Background: Fallopian Tubes are very common surgical specimen received in the pathological laboratory. It is affected by wide spectrum of both non neoplastic and neoplastic lesions. But there is very few studies described the frequency of various histopathological spectrums of lesions of fallopian tube.Aims & Objectives: To study the various histopathological lesions seen in surgically resected specimens of fallopian tube and their age distributions. Material and Method: A total of 200 surgically resected spec… Show more

“…The changes that occurred indicate the ability of the opioid to cause irreversible changes with prolonged use, leading to disorders of structure and function at all levels. At the same time, similar changes have been observed in other pathological processes in the fallopian tubes, including salpingitis, adnexitis, and hydrosalpingitis [22,23].…”

“…Зміни, які виникли, свідчать про здатність опіоїду при тривалому застосуванні викликати незворотні зміни, що приводять до порушень структури та функцій на усіх рівнях. При цьому, подібні зміни спостерігали і при інших патологічних процесах у маткових трубах, зокрема сальпінгітах, аднекситах, гідросальпінгітах [22,23].…”

“…Tubal epithelial hyperplasia in nonneoplastic and neoplastic cases has long been of interest. In 1989, Susan et al found epithelial hyperplasia in 68.7% of 99 cases with serous borderline [28]. While the rate of epithelial hyperplasia was 3% in a study of 200 non-neoplastic cases [4], the rate of cases with epithelial cell line >3 was 1.4% in another overlap [10].…”

“…In our study, the rate of inflammatory cells was 33.34%, while the rate of intraepithelial lymphocytes was 14.492%. In the examination of the tubas of 201 patients, 60% of which had total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingoooferectomy (TAH-BSO), salpingitis was observed in 10.19%, hydrosalpinx in 7.86%, and pyosalpinx in 0.29% [28]. In a study conducted in contrast, salpingitis was observed to be as low as 1.9% in a follow-up of 72 patients after hysterectomy [10].…”
