Abstract:The paper provides a brief overview of N. Tesla’s experimental work related to the wireless transmission of electrical energy. A number of experimental works are also presented, which can be considered as a direct continuation of the research begun in the works of Tesla. These experiments, in total, show the possibility of the existence of longitudinal electromagnetic waves. The most convincing evidence of the existence of longitudinal waves comes from experiments in underwater radio communications.
