HIV awareness among first year MBBS students in a private medical college, Telangana, India

Abstract: Background: Globally, since 1980, 70 million people were infected with HIV virus and 33.3 million people have died of HIV. In Sub-Saharan Africa, largest number of people living with HIV is Asia. In these areas 19 million of the 35 million people living with the virus globally do not know their HIV positive status.
