Abstract:Autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITD), particularly Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) and Basedow–Graves disease (BGD) are diseases of global public health concern, characterized by autoimmune attacks on the thyroid gland, leading to hypothyroidism in HT and hyperthyroidism in BGD.
