Ho Chi Minh City Economy in Relation to the Vietnamese Economy and Factors Affecting Ho Chi Minh City Economic Growth

Abstract: This study aims at evaluating the green growth in Vietnam in terms of energy consumption and CO2 emission level using the theory of the relationship between economy and environment. Data of Vietnam’s energy consumption and CO2 emission level in the period of 1985-2014 are obtained from the World Bank. Results show that the fossilized energy consumption to the total energy consumption ratio sharply increased from 29.57% in 1985 to 71.05% in 2011.
