Abstract: IntroductionWe investigated the effects of hormonal and non-hormonal oral contraceptives (OCs) on bone mass, mineralization, composition, mechanical properties, and metabolites in pubertal female SD rats.MethodsOCs were given for 3-, and 7 months at human equivalent doses.
