Abstract:A kinetic model is developed to calculate the thickness of the corrosion scale formed due to hot corrosion in the waterwall section of a boiler in coal-fired power plants. The proposed model is validated by using the data collected from an operating industrial boiler and using a novel electrochemical noisebased corrosion sensor. As corrosion dynamics are significantly slow compared to the dynamics of temperature and gaseous species concentration, a multiscale model is developed where datadriven models are deve… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
