“…In line with previous studies in the literature (e.g. Cervellati et al, 2022), we find that Italy is an interesting and useful case to analyze the effects of COVID-19 on how people changed their behaviors and their attitudes, as well as their sensitivity to CSR; however, focusing on a single country may represent a limitation of our study, and we are of the opinion that an international comparison may help better understand if (and in this case how) the COVID-19 pandemic affected sensitivity to CSR in different countries, with the advantage of considering the cultural and social differences between distinct populations.
