“…Even less is known regarding the potential moderating effects of other cultural domains (e.g., SES, sexual orientation, disability) on psychotherapy outcomes as the bulk of existing research has focused on ethnicity (Sue, Zane, Nagayama Hall, & Berger, 2009; Weinrach & Thomas, 2002). Fortunately the field has moved forward as there has been a shift from ESTs to the employment of Evidence Base Psychology Practice (EBPP) which requires the integration of research, clinical expertise, and patient characteristics (APA Presidential Task Force on Evidence-Based Practice, 2006) highlighting the need for culturally sensitive services (American Psychological Association, 2017; Benuto, Singer, Casas, Gonzales, & Ruork, 2018; Benuto, Singer, Gonzales, Casas, & Ruork, 2020; Gainsbury, 2017).
