“…Other evidence shows that the higher the quality of their relationship, the more individuals report elevated levels of wellbeing (Chapman & Guven, 2016). Similarly, relational stability longitudinally predicted better quality of life after 30 years of romantic relationships when compared to more erratic marriage trajectories (Roberson et al, 2018).…”

“…A couple relationship can be defined as a relatively stable sentimental bond between two people who share emotional and intellectual intimacy, establish a commitment by planning shared projects and define a joint identity as a couple, making it visible to others [ 1 ]. In western societies, the couple is usually considered one of the highest priority social bonds, particularly during youth [ 2 ].…”

“…Youth is a vital period of change and adaptation to adult roles, when people invest a large proportion of their personal time and resources in establishing and maintaining a satisfactory couple relationship [ 3 ]. According to previous studies, people’s assessment of satisfaction with their sentimental relationship has a strong influence on their well-being [ 4 ], their quality of life [ 1 ], their happiness [ 5 ] and their overall health [ 6 ]. Hence, there is a social need to educate young people on how to establish healthy and violence-free relationships [ 7 ].…”
