Abstract:Purpose Arthrodesis is a traditional surgical procedure for treating thumb carpometacarpal (CMC) osteoarthritis. Previous studies have investigated surgical outcomes, focusing on the fixation technique, bone union rate, and surgical complications but not on the postoperative alignment of the thumb CMC joints.
