Abstract:This paper examines the impact and the mechanism of the information technology industry policy on the cost of equity capital from the perspective of the government-business collaboration based on the externality theory and soft budget constraint theory. This research selected the Chinese A-share non-financial listed companies from 2012 to 2019 as examples and empirically tests the cost of equity capital effect of the implementation of "Broadband China" policy based on the difference-in-difference (DID) model. … Show more
