Organizations nowadays are increasingly using a nondisclosure agreement to protect against the dissemination of certain information by employees. However, such methods have not always been successful, especially since a pandemic. Therefore, the aim of the article is to present the main trust factors. Identification of trust-building factors in the organization in order to increase efficiency and reduce indirect costs, as well as conduct theoretical analysis on this topic. Design/methodology/approach: The synthesis method and the analytical and comparative concept of building staff motivation were used. The theoretical analysis in the text is based on research that can be found in Polish, English and Russian literature. Findings:The article shows that by engaging the right disciplines it become possible to achieve absolute trust, which in turn serves as the key to effective work. Research limitations/implications: Building an atmosphere of trust begins with ways of learning, sharing information and knowledge while meeting the needs of the trusted person. Therefore, in future research on trust in the area of management, it is necessary to take into account the point of view of the related disciplines mentioned in the article. Social implications: A conscious desire to build organizational trust leads to an increase in work efficiency and a decrease in corrupt practices. Ultimately, this will lead to increased meaning of trust in business.Originality/value: A model of trust levels and their impact on work performance has been developed. The article can be used by the management as a guide to creating employee motivation systems.

PurposeUnder extensive pressure from normal market competition, frequent technological change and extreme exogenous shock, firms are facing severe challenge nowadays. How to withstand discontinuous crises and respond to normal risks through improving resilience (RE) is an important question worth researching. Thus, drawing on the strategic entrepreneurship theory, the purpose of this study is exploring the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and RE, and combining digitization to discuss the role of digital business capability (DBC), digital business model innovation (DBMI) and environmental hostility (EH).Design/methodology/approachBased on survey data from 203 Chinese firms, using the methods of linear regression and bootstrap to test our hypothesis. Furthermore, fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (FsQCA) is used to identify previously unknown combinations which lead to strong/weak RE in digital context.FindingsFirst, EO positively influenced DBC and RE. Second, DBMI promoted RE, DBC and DBMI served as sequential mediators that linked EO and RE. Third, EH positively moderated the effects of EO on RE. Further the study revealed that different configuration of DBMI and dimensions of EO and DBC can explain RE.Originality/valueThe study explains mechanism of RE from perspective of digitization. The conclusion is good for further consolidating strategic entrepreneurship theory, and providing a new frame for firms to build the ability of antifragile.

Digital technologies are playing an increasingly central role in crisis management. Despite concerted efforts by information systems (IS) scholars to explore the capabilities of digital technologies to foster resilience against crises, very few have investigated the dynamics of building digital resilience in turbulent times. This study, drawing upon the resource orchestration view (ROV) and through an empirical investigation of Taiwan's COVID‐19 pandemic management, unpacked the black box process of governments leading heterogeneous societal entities to promote resource orchestration actions for the development of digital resilience. The research findings revealed four patterns of digital resource orchestrations—dual‐purposing existing IS, balancing data exploitation, enacting online co‐production, and augmenting social network effects—that led to rapid and effective pandemic crisis management in Taiwan. We incorporated our findings into a research model of digital resilience in the making, thereby providing a mechanism for building digital resilience at a societal level. The research outcomes foreground temporal and societal aspects of digital resilience that contribute to the literature by adding new insights to the currently limited research on the operational process of building digital resilience.
