Abstract:Nitric oxide (NO) is a novel indicator gas for investigating alveolar capillary gas exchange conditions. In clinical practice, pulmonary gas uptake is determined by measuring the single-breath diffusing capacity (DL,NO). Different algorithms are employed to calculate DL,NO.
