Abstract:The Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are a heterogenous group of clonal bone marrow (BM) stem cell myeloid neoplasms, characterized by ineffective hematopoiesis that results in dysplasia in hematopoietic cells and peripheral cytopenias, especially anemia, and a propensity to leukemic transformation.
