As the highly developed society's every feature, such as lifestyle, habits, aesthetics, and so on, changes from generation to generation, fewer and fewer young people spend time learning, knowing, or attending Sichuan opera shows. In this essay, the author will explore how to narrow the generation gap and awaken the vitality for Sichuan opera in China from two different aspects: social media and creative and cultural products. Both methods have advantages but also shortcomings. At the end of the essay, the author will set out the future expectation about Sichuan opera, like the Fans' community that will be build soon.

This paper explores the struggles, goals, and motivations of the women characters in The Hunger Games Trilogy. In detail, the study employs Elaine Showalter’s Feminist theory to reveal the women characters’ categories in terms of three stages: feminine, feminist and female. In the study, some of the women characters living in the dehumanized society of Panem have attained the last stage of feminism which is the female stage. However, other women characters are not able to fulfill their goals. Still, due to the women characters’ demand to change the system, they start an uprising. For example, the main character, Katniss Everdeen, contributes to the collapse of the ruling government in power as she accepts being the Mockingjay, the symbol of revolution. Another woman character to exemplify such a noble act is Johanna Mason who becomes part of the rebellion and survives the war against the unjust ruling of the Capitol. These women characters are slivers of light amidst the chaos. In conclusion, it is discovered that women characters play pivotal roles in society. This suggests that women characters recognize their power to accelerate societal advancement. For this dystopian trilogy, in particular, women become symbols of hope.

An Active and Passive Controllable Smart Glass Based on an Eco‐Friendly Aqueous Solution

A smart glass, based on an eco‐friendly aqueous solution, capable of controlling both transparency for privacy and the radiant energy flow for thermal insulation, is demonstrated. The transparency of the glass is self‐adaptive in response to the ambient environment and can also be electrically controlled on demand. The aqueous solution used in this study is composed of water and a non‐ionic surfactant used in the food industry. As the temperature of the aqueous solutions increases above the cloud point, the solution undergoes phase separation into a micelle‐rich phase and a micelle‐poor phase causing the incident light to be scattered by the micellar clusters. Good thermo‐responsive optical properties are achieved with ≈77% luminous transmittance, ≈90% haze, and ≈64% solar regulation. The proposed smart glass fabricated from a biocompatible aqueous solution would be eco‐friendly as well as exhibiting excellent energy conservation performance.
