Hubungan antara Dukungan Keluarga dengan Kualitas Hidup pada Lansia di Padukuhan Pranan, Sendangsari, Minggir, Sleman

Abstract

Background: The elderly experience an aging process that causes physical, psychosocial, and spiritual changes. These changes will affect the quality of life of the elderly. Family support is one of the essential things in improving the quality of life of the elderly.Objective: To determine the relationship between family support and quality of life in the elderly in Padukuhan Pranan, Sendangsari, Minggir, Sleman.Method: This study used an analytic correlational with a cross-sectional design. The respondents of this study were 35 people aged 60 years and over and lived with their families. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were collected using the PSS-Fa instrument for family support and the WHOQOL-BREFF questionnaire on the quality of life. The data analysis used was the univariate test and bivariate test Spearman Rho correlation test.Result: All of the elderly (100%), received good family support from their families (median = 60), almost all respondents (94,3%) had a good quality of life (median = 86). The Spearman Rho correlation test results showed that the r= 0,266 and p-value was 0,122 (p > 0,05).Conclusion: No relationship between family support and quality of life in the elderly in Padukuhan Pranan Sendangsari, Minggir, Sleman.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Lansia akan mengalami proses menua yang mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan, mulai dari perubahan fisik hingga psikososial. Perubahan tersebut akan berpengaruh pada kualitas hidup lansia. Dukungan keluarga adalah hal yang penting dalam peningkatan kualitas hidup lansia.Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pada lansia di Padukuhan Pranan, Sendangsari, Minggir, Sleman.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu purposive sampling dan didapatkan responden sebanyak 35 orang yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Dukungan keluarga diukur menggunakan instrumen PSS-Fa dan kualitas hidup diukur menggunakan kuesioner WHOQOL-BREFF yang sudah valid dan reliabel. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara door to door dan membutuhkan waktu 10 hari. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji univariat dan uji bivariat. Uji bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rho.Hasil: Seluruh lansia (100%) mendapatkan dukungan yang baik dari keluarganya (nilai median = 60), sedangkan untuk kualitas hidup, hampir seluruh lansia (94,3%) memiliki kualitas hidup yang baik (nilai median = 86). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman Rho didapatkan hasil nilai r = 0,266 dan p value 0,122 (p > 0,05).Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pada lansia di Padukuhan Pranan, Sendangsari, Minggir, Sleman.
