Perimenopause is the period always starts with an irregular menstrual cycle to the last menstrual period. The World Health Organization estimates that by 2030, 1.2 billion women worldwide will reach menopause. In Indonesia, in 2025, there will be around 60 million menopausal women. Cilayung Village is one of the villages in the Jatinangor district which is 4 KM from district center and the campus area. Although not far from the district center, Cilayung Village does not care about the changes that have occurred. Information given by village midwives on perimenopausal women showed that, in a month there could be 2 to 5 women found to be in their perimenopausal period. Also there were no health data about perimenopausal women. The methods of this community service were carried out in stages: 1) analysis of the situation of perimenopausal women, 2) problem identification, 3) determining work goals, 4) problem solving planning, 5) close social interaction, 6) implementation of activities, and 7) evaluation. Village midwives and cadres assited with the activities mentioned above. A total of 106 perimenopausal women participated, and they were examined to physical changes, and there were collected as data. The data collected showed vasomotor instability or hot flashes (at least 54.70%), not experiencing vaginal dryness (90.60%), low osteoporosis or OSTA status (45.30%), and cholesterol status (the most common was 78.30%). Health promotion and counselling were given, and a presentation followed by a Q and A session on perimenopausal women was also organized.

The maturity of women's reproductive organs can be characterized by the onset of the first menstruation, known as menarche, while the concluding phase is referred to as menopause. The time frame spanning from menarche to menopause is known as the reproductive period. One crucial factor influencing the reproductive period is nutritional status. Optimal body fat reserves tend to extend the reproductive period, whereas inadequate reserves can have the opposite effect. Notably, women residing in urban areas often experience a more extended reproductive period compared to their rural counterparts. The aim of this study was to assess the reproductive period of women in three sub-districts in South Lampung and to analyze the potential impact of nutritional status on the individual reproductive period. The study was conducted between January and April 2023 in the sub-districts of Jati Agung, Natar, and Kalianda. Data was gathered from a total of 57 respondents through interviews and physical measurements. Nevertheless, only 18 respondents met the criteria and were further analyzed. Nutritional status was evaluated using the body mass index (BMI) and percent body fat (PBF). The findings revealed that the average reproductive period for women in the three South Lampung sub-districts was 37.06 years. The average age for menarche was 14.22 years, while the average age for menopause was 51.28 years. However, the study did not find a significant correlation between nutritional status and the reproductive period of women in the three examined sub-districts of South Lampung.

Menarche is a sign of the proper functioning of a woman's reproductive organs when having her first menstruation and is common in the age range of 10-16 years. Menarche is influenced by several factors, one of which is nutritional status. According to Noviyanti research (2016) nutrition affects a girl's sexual maturity so that it affects the slowness of menarche. Similarly, research conducted by Munda (2016) that students with overweight nutritional status faster experienced menarche compared to students who have normal nutritional status and underweight. This study aims to find out the relationship of nutritional status to the age of menarche grade VII students in Pesantren Bahrul Ulum. This research method uses descriptive method with cross sectional research design. This research was conducted in SDN 007 Rambah. The sample of this study amounted to 45 respondents. Data collection uses simple correlation and linear regression tests. The results of this study stated that the average nutritional status of grade VII students is 21.60Kg /m2, and the nutritional status of students is at least 16.90 Kg / m2 and the highest nutritional status is 27.60 Kg / m2 with an average age of menarche 12.11 years. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship of nutritional status with menarche age in grade VII students in Pesantren Bahrul Ulum with a value of p= 0.036.
