The study of academically gifted students has attracted the attention of many researchers in the world in the last two decades. The existence of gifted students in this category always appears in schools even though it does not have an enormous population like other average students. Gifted students are those with eminent academic abilities, characterized by strong self-resistance, high learning motivation, unlimited academic reasoning and other advantages. However, in Indonesia, the study of academically gifted students has not been widely conducted by academics and studies related to this issue are still limitedly published. This research aims to find out the profile of gifted students in excellent schools that organize international class programs in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data sources are taken through in-depth individual and group interviews with ten informants consisting of the principal, vice principal for curriculum, Islamic religious education teacher and students who study in international classes using Indonesian and English. All data are analyzed thematically using the Miles & Huberman interactive analysis model technique. The research findings found six categories of gifted student profile selection. The six categories are; i) having an IQ above 130, ii) high creativity, iii) critical thinking, iv) eagerness to do challenges, v) good language skills, vi) good language framework. These findings can be used as a reference for schools and teachers in determining gifted students before they are grouped in the international class program at school.

Early childhood emotional dysregulation is critical in recognizing and preventing psychological well-being disorders, laying the groundwork for developing healthy emotional behaviors early on. This study aims to determine the direct influence of smartphone addiction, executive function, and the mother-child relationship on emotional dysregulation in early childhood in West Sumatra. This research method is a quantitative survey. The data collection technique in this research uses a questionnaire design on 309 parents who were selected using a simple random sampling method. This data processing tool uses the SmartPLS software. The results of the study indicate that smartphone addiction has a significant impact on emotional dysregulation in early childhood, executive function has a positive and significant effect on emotional dysregulation in early childhood, and the mother-child relationship has a positive and significant influence on emotional dysregulation in early childhood. The findings of this research can offer valuable insights into improving the understanding of the factors that influence emotional dysregulation in early childhood and intervention strategies to address the issues that arise as a result. This study aims to evaluate the impact of early childhood executive function on emotional dysregulation. Participants were parents of children aged 5 to 6. Primary data was acquired by sending surveys via a Google Form. A correlational quantitative research approach was used. The research findings indicate that there is a relationship between executive function and emotional dysregulation in early childhood, particularly in Tanah Datar Regency. With a hypothesis test, the obtained value of r is 0.156, while the critical value (rtabel) for a sample size of 162 individuals is 0.148 at a significance level of 5%. The correlation test using SPSS 21 yields a significance value of 0.161, indicating a strong correlation between the two variables. The results showed that children's emotional dysregulation was highly influenced by their level of executive function in early childhood. This study emphasizes the need of recognizing and fostering executive function in early children to promote healthy emotional regulation, providing parents with vital insights into understanding and supporting their children's emotional development.
