Hubungan Pengetahuan Perawat Tentang BTCLS Dengan Response Time Di Igd Rs Bhayangkara Makassar

Abstract

Nurses in emergency departments must be able to provide the response time quickly and accurately that is needed in situations carrying out nursing care. Response time is a combination of waiting time or response time when the patient arrives at the door of the hospital until getting a response from the medical team through the emergency department with service time, namely the time it takes the patient's emergency care. This study aims to determine the relationship between the knowledge of nurses about BTCLS (Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support) with the response time of services in the Emergency Room at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. This research method is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional research design approach with a sampling technique using the total sampling method so that a total sample of 22 respondents is obtained. The results of this study found that knowledge of nurses about BTCLS (Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support) in the Emergency Room at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar, was in the good category of 19 people (86.36%) and Response time was in the appropriate category of 17 respondents (77.27%). Meanwhile, the relationship between the knowledge of nurses about BTCLS (Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support) and the response time of services in the Emergency Room at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar showed a P value = 0.035 ≤ 0.05 meaning that there was a significant relationship between knowledge of nurses about BTCLS and the response time for services at the Emergency Room at Bhayangkara Hospital. Macassar. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the knowledge of nurses about BTCLS and the response time to the emergency room services at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar.
