Huge occipital spindle cell lipoma: a case report

Abstract: Spindle cell lipoma is a subtype of lipoma first defined by Enzinger and Harvey; it accounts for <1.5% of all lipomatous tumors. We present an unusual case of a huge spindle cell lipoma. A 49-year-old man with diabetes mellitus experienced neck pain during sleep because of a huge occipital and upper posterior neck mass that had slowly grown during 4 years.
