Abstract:We present shock Hugoniot measurements of 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB) T2 formulation up to 70 GPa. Despite the use of very thin samples, strong reactivity is evidenced above 30 GPa, indicating that our high pressure points are rather overdriven reaction product measurements than inert Hugoniot measurements. However, the comparison of these new high pressure Hugoniot data obtained on a TATB formulation with those previously obtained in a similar pressure range on single-crystal (SC) TATB samples… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
