Human Herpesvirus-6 DNA and Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

Abstract: Background: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare histiocytic proliferative disorder of unknown etiology that mainly affects young children. The histological feature is the granuloma-like proliferation of Langerhans-type dendritic cells.
