Abstract:The ovary is commonly known as an endocrine gland responsible for sex steroid production. One of the outstanding cells in ovarian microenvironment - granulosa cells (GCs) are responsible for converting the androgens to estrogens during follicular growth and secreting progesterone after ovulation.
