Humanistic and anthropocentric paradigms in modern science: a comparative analysis

Abstract

The article comprehends the essence of the anthropocentric paradigm. It is based on the ideals and values of post-nonclassical science. In order to substantiate the goals of higher education, it is necessary to comprehend the situation of the paradigm shift. The anthropocentric paradigm is seen as the basis for renewing the strategic goals of higher education in a globalized world. The comparison of the humanistic and anthropocentric paradigms is carried out on the basis of the criteria: the problem of cognition, the principle of its solution and the main concept. The features of the humanistic paradigm are comprehended. Its main concepts are: "value", "creativity", "personality development", "cooperation". The prerequisites for the change of the paradigm of postnonclassical science are revealed. The author proves the legitimacy of the application of the concept of "anthropocentric paradigm", as well as the possibility of synthesizing modern social and humanitarian knowledge through the concept of "man". New areas of knowledge are considered, thanks to which there is an understanding of new ideas and concepts. The emphasis is on the concepts: "evolution", "anthropocentrism", "patterns of evolution". They acquire significance as a characteristic of the natural and cosmic order. The conclusion is made about the integration of scientific knowledge into a transdisciplinary structure based on the principle of global evolutionism. In the anthropocentric paradigm, the problem of the evolution of mankind comes to the fore. New ideas, problems and approaches to its solution are outlined, which have not been reflected in the humanistic paradigm of science. They make it possible to determine the principles of solving the problem of the evolution of Human, namely: harmonization, universalization, human dimension. Prospects for further research of the problem are associated with the substantiation of the strategic goals of higher education in the context of the anthropocentric paradigm.
