Humanitarian crisis in Myanmar: Another failure for “responsibility to protect”

Abstract: In 2005, the R2P was adopted unanimously at the UN World Summit. After the discussions and resolutions, the R2P has been invoked and implemented in several crises. Despite human rights violations and war crimes in Myanmar, the UN Security Council has failed to respond to these crimes and to implement R2P in this case.
