Hybrid AE and Bi-LSTM-Aided Sparse Multipath Channel Estimation in OFDM Systems

Cervical cancer (CC) ranks as the fourth most common form of cancer affecting women, manifesting in the cervix. CC is caused by the Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and is eradicated by vaccinating women from an early age. However, limited medical facilities present a significant challenge in mid- or low-income countries. It can improve the survivability rate and be successfully treated if the CC is detected at earlier stages. Current technological improvements allow for cost-effective, more sensitive, and rapid screening and treatment measures for CC. DL techniques are widely adopted for the automated detection of CC. DL techniques and architectures are used to detect CC and provide higher detection performance. This study offers the design of Enhanced Cervical Precancerous Lesions Detection and Classification using the Archimedes Optimization Algorithm with Transfer Learning (CPLDC-AOATL) algorithm. The CPLDC-AOATL algorithm aims to diagnose cervical cancer using medical images. At the preliminary stage, the CPLDC-AOATL technique involves a bilateral filtering (BF) technique to eliminate the noise in the input images. Besides, the CPLDC-AOATL technique applies the Inception-ResNetv2 model for the feature extraction process, and the use of AOA chose the hyperparameters. The CPLDC-AOATL technique involves a bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) model for the cancer detection process. The experimental outcome of the CPLDC-AOATL technique emphasized the superior accuracy outcome of 99.53% over other existing approaches under a benchmark dataset.

Inverse problems in biomedical image analysis represent a significant frontier in disease detection, leveraging computational methodologies and mathematical modelling to unravel complex data embedded within medical images. These problems include deducing the unknown properties of biological structures or tissues from the observed imaging data, presenting a unique challenge in decoding intricate biological phenomena. Regarding disease detection, this technique has played a critical role in optimizing diagnostic efficiency by extracting meaningful insights from different imaging modalities like molecular imaging, MRI, and CT scans. Inverse problems contribute to uncovering subtle abnormalities by employing iterative optimization techniques and sophisticated algorithms, enabling precise and early disease detection. Deep learning (DL) solutions have emerged as robust mechanisms for addressing inverse problems in biomedical image analysis, especially in disease recognition. Inverse problems involve reconstructing unknown structures or parameters from observed data, and the DL model excels in learning complex representations and mappings. This study develops a DL Solution for Inverse Problems in the Advanced Biomedical Image Analysis on Disease Detection (DLSIP-ABIADD) technique. The DLSIP-ABIADD technique exploits the DL approach to solve inverse problems and detect the presence of diseases on biomedical images. To solve the inverse problem, the DLSIP-ABIADD technique uses a direct mapping approach. Bilateral filtering (BF) is used for image preprocessing. Besides, the MobileNetv2 model derives feature vectors from the input images. Moreover, the Henry gas solubility optimization (HGSO) method is applied for optimal hyperparameter selection of the MobileNetv2 model. Furthermore, a bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) model is deployed to identify diseases in medical images. Extensive simulations have been involved to illustrate the better performance of the DLSIP-ABIADD technique. The experimentation outcomes stated that the DLSIP-ABIADD technique performs better than other models.

Towards laryngeal cancer diagnosis using Dandelion Optimizer Algorithm with ensemble learning on biomedical throat region images

Laryngeal cancer exhibits a notable global health burden, with later-stage detection contributing to a low mortality rate. Laryngeal cancer diagnosis on throat region images is a pivotal application of computer vision (CV) and medical image diagnoses in the medical sector. It includes detecting and analysing abnormal or cancerous tissue from the larynx, an integral part of the vocal and respiratory systems. The computer-aided system makes use of artificial intelligence (AI) through deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) models, including convolution neural networks (CNN), for automated disease diagnoses and detection. Various DL and ML approaches are executed to categorize the extraction feature as healthy and cancerous tissues. This article introduces an automated Laryngeal Cancer Diagnosis using the Dandelion Optimizer Algorithm with Ensemble Learning (LCD-DOAEL) method on Biomedical Throat Region Image. The LCD-DOAEL method aims to investigate the images of the throat region for the presence of laryngeal cancer. In the LCD-DOAEL method, the Gaussian filtering (GF) approach is applied to eliminate the noise in the biomedical images. Besides, the complex and intrinsic feature patterns can be extracted by the MobileNetv2 model. Meanwhile, the DOA model carries out the hyperparameter selection of MobileNetV2 architecture. Finally, the ensemble of three classifiers such as bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM), regularized extreme learning machine (ELM), and backpropagation neural network (BPNN) models, are utilized for the classification process. A comprehensive set of simulations is conducted on the biomedical image dataset to highlight the efficient performance of the LCD-DOAEL technique. The comparison analysis of the LCD-DOAEL method exhibited a superior accuracy outcome of 97.54% over other existing techniques.
