Hybrid lead-acid/lithium-ion energy storage system with power-mix control for light electric vehicles

Abstract: This work presents a hybrid energy storage system (HESS), using lithium-ion (LI) and lead-acid (PbA) batteries, for light electric vehicles (LEV) that is both cost and performance competitive with single energy storage system (SESS) configurations.
