Hybrid Learning for Conceptual Understanding Skills in Mathematics: A Meta-Analysis

Abstract: The previous studies regarding hybrid learning and mathematics concept showed that there is an inconsistent effect of hybrid learning on students’ conceptual understanding skills in mathematics. The purpose of this study is to approximate and examine the effect of hybrid learning on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding skills and some moderating factors predicted in affecting students’ heterogeneous mathematics concept. Meta-analysis was employed to conduct this study by selecting random effect mode… Show more

“…If an article is symmetrical, it is devoid of prejudice. If the article utilized in the meta-analysis is asymmetrical, it might be inferred that there is bias present [82,83]. The symmetrical nature of the final funnel plot is apparent from the results depicted in Fig.…”

“…Hybrid model science practicum is a new term designed by researchers to explain the concept of integrated science practicum learning between realistic practicum a ctivities as synchronous activities and virtual practicum activities using virtual reality as asynchronous activities [17][18][19]. A term that is already well-known and pertinent to this research, hybrid learning, served as the inspiration for this hybrid model practicum [20].…”

“…Various studies have discussed hybrid learning in higher education. One of the studies conducted by Helsa et al (2023) focuses on how the implementation of hybrid learning impacts learning in higher education, and the research results show that the adoption of hybrid learning has benefits. In addition, this research shows that hybrid teaching can improve students' discipline, improve their mathematical representations, improve their cognitive abilities, improve their communication abilities, and increase their ability to adapt to the material studied.…”
