Abstract:Optimal detection in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) frequency-selective systems is known to have exponential complexity due to the number of transmitter antennas and channel length. In this paper, we model the detection problem using factor graphs and apply the sum-product algorithm (SPA) to derive the optimal detector. Then we adapt the SPA to propose a hybrid suboptimal algorithm based on two known detectors: the Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) detector initialized with the solution from the linear mi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
