“…This work provides a strategy for regulating the external charges of nanoparticles and obtaining pH-sensitive nanocarriers, which provide therapeutic nanocarriers for gene therapy, cancer, and vaccines. It developed a variety of liposomal nanoparticles with different external charges by using cationic chitosan and anionic hyaluronic acid rather than changing the ratios of cationic, neutral, or anionic phospholipid molecules . The protonation of the amino group in chitosan features a positive charge of liposomes in acidic conditions, and the deprotonation of the carboxyl group in hyaluronate brings a negative charge for liposomes in an alkaline environment.…”
