Abstract:Highly efficient acousto‐optic modulation plays a vital role in microwave‐to‐optical conversion. Herein, a hybrid thin‐film lithium niobate (TFLN) racetrack micro‐ring acousto‐optic modulator (AOM) implemented with a low‐loss chalcogenide (ChG) waveguide is demonstrated. By engineering the electrode configuration of the interdigital transducer, the double‐arm micro‐ring acousto‐optic modulation is experimentally confirmed in a non‐suspended ChG‐loaded TFLN waveguide platform. Varying the position of the blue‐d… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
