Hydatid Cysts of the Adrenal Gland: Review of Nine Patients

Abstract: Adrenal cysts are very rare lesions, especially with parasitic origin. But with the wider application of ultrasonography (US) and computed tomography (CT) more adrenal cysts are detected incidentally. To gain more insight into this entity, the records of nine patients with hydatid cysts of adrenal gland seen at our department from January 1980 till January 2002 are reviewed.
