Abstract: Fluid flow and transport phenomena through fractured rocks have received significant interest in many geoscience problems such as nuclear and chemical waste disposal, CO 2 sequestration, enhanced geothermal systems (EGS), oil and gas recovery, and unconventional energy resources (Koyama et al., 2008).
