Hydraulic resistance and heat transfer augmentation in pipes with inner helical micro-ribs: Review, data generalisation, and technical recommendations

Abstract: The paper presents the data generalization and development of general correlations for heat transfer and pressure drop in pipes with inner helical micro-ribs. Heat transfer and friction coefficient data were gathered from related investigations on single-phase turbulent flow of Newtonian fluid in pipes with various shape inner helically-ribbed surfaces
