Hydrocortisone induces changes in gene expression and differentiation in immature human enterocytes

Abstract: It is known that functional maturation of the small intestine occurring during the weaning period is facilitated by glucocorticoids (such as hydrocortisone, HC), including an increased expression of digestive hydrolases.
